My Inspiration....

Calgary has many vibrant districts that capture my heart and my imagination.

My Wonky paintings illustrate special urban places in this great city. The energy and vibe from within the walls make the buildings come to life, as if each place could dance to the beat of life here….

My Natural paintings quietly reflect the beauty of what I see, just as it is....

I have always loved art but being a daughter of immigrant farmers, I was strongly encouraged to make a more practical career choice. Once I retired from my practical professions, my husband, Brad, challenged me to pursue my passion for painting. Although I have taken painting classes at various times through the years in acrylic and water colour, it wasn’t until 2006 that I discovered the magic of painting in oils. I have studied under Holly McWilliams and Doug Swinton at Swinton’s Art Supplies and Instruction for several years and continue to enjoy being a part of the artist community in Calgary.

Life has been good to me so I feel it is important to Paint it Forward! I have donated several of my paintings to fundraising auctions for a variety of causes including the Cancer Foundation, CNIB, YWCA Women's Shelter, and even Theatre Calgary. Now I am expanding my gallery by offering limited edition giclees, meticuloulsy reproduced on premium archival canvas, of some of my images with the proceeds going to Inn from the Cold.  Check them out in my Gallery Shop....
